Propellerhead Announces Reason 7

Propellerhead finally announces the next version of Reason. The DAW that is popular among the producer is taking the next level of its development. Although Propellerhead has announced it, but they said that the DAW itself would be available in the second quarter of 2013.

The main feature that they offer is MIDI out support, which allows you to use hardware synth to be controlled by a MIDI clip using their new External MIDI Instruments. It also appears that Reason 7 offers an audio time stretch which looks like Ableton Live’s Warp system. It seems that the Reason time stretch also have a warp marker on it. Now the mixer also have a bus channel which allows you to make a group of channel for different processing. The other new feature is that the Graphic EQ now have a spectrum analyzer.

Right now Reason 7 isn’t available, but the good news is if you buy Reason 6/6.5 after 1 March 2013 then you’ll get a free update of Reason 7.
